We own a bi-level with cathedral ceilings for some 30 years. It was time for a change. My son recommended Andrew Picone for the painting of the interior. What concerned me was painted over wall paper on the center wall and ceiling cracks along with nail pops.

Initially, new drywall to cover the painted over papered wall was the way to go. Was I wrong. Andrew convinced me that two skim coats would be better and cheaper than drywall. Ceiling problems was old hat to him. After review in a well prepared quote that covered exactly the number of coats for living room, dining room and two hallways which included the time period involved. Trim and doorways and closet were all inclusive.

They started at 8:00 a.m. and left at 4:30p.m. Four days later, my wife and I couldn’t have been happier. The interior ceilings, walls, doors, and trim all look great, like new. Importantly, the courtesy of Andrew and his workers give the feeling of family. Also, they answering any questions and wanted to please any request. Both my wife and I felt we received more than our monies worth. In this times, a rarity when dealing with contractors coming in on time and on budget.

I had my doubts, but Andy’s experience and professionalism was the central part of the team that accomplished a successful project and mutual experience that builds true friendships.

Andy Picone’s company has now pained both the interior and exterior of our 1925 Tudor home. When we first bought our house five years ago, Andy’s crew did a fantastic job painting the interior of the home, including stripping and staining the wood in places. The level of workmanship was outstanding and we were very pleased. When it came time to paint the exterior we made one call–to Andy. Again his crew handled numerous tasks in addition to painting which included repairing rotten wood, re-glazing casement windows, and repairing stucco. The painting crew, Jarek and Pawel, arrived at the site everyday on time and took breaks and lunches timed to the minute. They focused on work continuously the rest of the day. They were careful in moving furniture and covered everything to protect from spills and splatters. They had a plan on how to carry out the phases of work so as to make transitions as smooth as possible and flow from one room into the other. The quality of the painting is excellent. From the preparation of the walls to the finishing coat, the care and quality of their work is evident.

Every evening when your crew packs up for the night, they dust and vacuum leaving virtually no sign that they were there other than freshly painted surfaces. Experience with Andrew Picone Painting and Paperhanging

We have used Andy’s services for over 20 years. His company has done virtually all the painting-related work (interior sheet rock repair, painting, and paperhanging, as well as exterior power washing, staining and treating of decks, cedar siding, shingles and fencing) that we have done since buying a new home in Bernardsville 25 years ago. He has consistently done such high quality work that if we have to wait 6 months for him to be available, we wait. He employs skilled workmen who are flexible, cooperative and courteous.
